Hui-O-Judo Beltsville and the Beltsville Academic Center, 4300 Wicomico Avenue, Beltsville, Maryland will host a USJF sanctioned Referee Clinic featuring Robert Fukuda, an IJF A referee, on Saturday, February 2, 2013.
ALL levels of referees should attend this clinic but this event is not only for referees. Understanding the rules of competition, and how they are applied, positively affects play and makes better competitors, teachers, coaches and scorekeepers. The topics covered will include: rule changes, protocols and signaling, scoring criteria, making the proper call, penalties, close calls for in and out of bounds, and other tricky situations. There will be discussions, video reviews and live mat practice to help you understand the rules completely.
